Activity averts addition … in a good way.

Sometimes I cannot bear the idea of running. I want to crawl into a cave and hibernate for a while. But then, I cannot bear the thought of not running, either. After one or two non-running rest days, I can get a little grizzly.

Maybe you know the feeling.

That brings us to today’s entry for the April A to Z Blogging Challenge. It’s A-Day, so let’s call it ACTIVITY.

“A bear, however hard he tries,
grows tubby without exercise.”
A.A. Milne (1882-1956)

Don’t I know it?

Bear in mind: Runderdog’s theme for the 2018 April A to Z Blogging Challenge is “Running Quotes by Non-Runners.” I’m not positive that every single author, historical figure, public figure, writer, or other notable I’m including never actually laced on sneakers to run a mile or two. But none of those in my month-long alphabetical post line-up are known for being runners (to my understanding.)

I invite you to bookmark / favorite / follow Runderdog: Runleashed and Runstoppable. Be sure to c’mon back throughout the month of April, in particular, to find the rest of the intriguing and often inspiring quotations in the Running Quotes by Non-Runners series.

  1. I love this! Winnie the Pooh is my absolute fave and as the odd one out in a house full of runners I can completely relate. Good luck with the #atozchallenge

  3. I don't run and never have been much of a runner even in childhood. As I neared forty it was revealed that I had a heart condition that is affected by strenuous exercise. I realized at that point why running had always had an adverse affect on me.

Now walking is a different story. I love to walk and always have. In fact I just got back from a forty minute walk. I need to make a habit of doing this.
