Running is an addiction. (I have said that before, and it
wasn’t an original thought. It’s pretty much a universal sentiment among avid
runners.) Maybe it’s the fine feeling of fitness, the happiness of hearty
health, or the amazing awareness of personal achievement.
Or it could be the adrenaline
of doing something awesome.
If that’s the case, it might explain why runners always seem
to be seeking greater challenges, longer distances, and stupendous stunts.
Examples include ultra races, obstacle races, mud runs, technical trail races, round-the-clock
races, and full Iron Man triathlons. Whenever a runner meets an ultimate goal,
another one awaits.
Maybe that’s a suitable entrĂ©e for today’s Runderdog
“Running Quotes by Non-Runners” entry:
“Life is either a daring
adventure or nothing at all.” Helen Keller (1880-1968)
Amen to that.
